Kyle was a multi-sport athlete in high school playing both baseball and hockey. While at Hopkins Kyle was a three-year varsity starter for both hockey and baseball earning all-conference honors in both sports during his junior and senior years. After graduation from Hopkins High School in 2011, Kyle signed to play collegiate baseball at DII Concordia University St. Paul. While at CSP, Kyle was a four-year starter playing both second base and centerfield. He saw success on the field and this success helped him earn a 2014 Daktronics First Team All-American honor at the utility position hitting .436, a 2014 First Team All-Central Region selection, and 2014 All-NSIC First Team honors. Kyle graduated from CSP in 2015 with the third most hits in school history (225). 

After graduation, Kyle went on to coach in the private sector for three years before going back to school for his master’s degree in Sports Management at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In addition to going back to school, Kyle was the Graduate Assistant on the Mankato baseball team coaching the outfielders, infielders, and hitters and became an integral part of the team’s success during the 2020-2022 seasons. In the 2020-2021 season, Kyle helped the team to a 39-10 record and winning both the NSIC Regular Season Championship and the 2021 NSIC Conference Tournament Championship. In the 2021-2022 season, Kyle helped coach the Mavericks to a 39-9 overall record and the 2022 NSIC Conference Tournament Championship. 

During his time at Minnesota State University, Mankato, Kyle helped coach three players play professionally with one drafted in the 2022 MLB Draft, seven All-Americans, and eight NSIC All-Conference players. 

Kyle brings tremendous energy, passion, and knowledge to Northstar all while helping athletes of all ages find success both on and off the field.
